Anti-Aging Serum

When it comes to using a product that combats wrinkles, most experts know that Vitamin C is a near miracle treatment. But, when you enhance the Vitamin C with hyaluronic acid, it becomes a near “fountain of youth” for aging skin. I use Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid in my facials to give clients that extra boost of anti-aging benefits.

The reason this combination of ingredients work so well is that vitamin C plays an integral part in providing necessary anti-oxidants which prevent free radicals from damaging your skin.

Free radicals are found in the actual environment in which you live, so you can’t avoid them. Beauty experts just recently understand the part that the derivative of Vitamin C,  sodium ascorbyl phosphate, plays in combating the signs of aging that naturally occurs with your skin. My clients appreciate being up to date on the latest beauty treatments, and getting the biggest bang for their bucks.anti-aging-serum-or-cream

This derivative of Vitamin C boosts the antioxidant powers of the main aspect of the vitamin, preventing wrinkles and lines from permeating your complexion. It also acts to slow down the production of melanin which is the cause of age spots and other types of hyperpigmentation which may occur as you age.

Sodium ascorbyl is also a key factor in helping your body to naturally produce and absorb Vitamin C when most needed. This provides you with the Vitamin C you need for your anti-aging plan in a natural and pure form that’s much more effective than other methods.

When hyaluronic acid is added to the mix, you have the advantage of the miracle-working properties that can bind the collagen in your skin by keeping moisture in so wrinkles are plumped and hydrated – virtually disappearing and leaving you glowing and young-looking.

Hyaluronic acid in this anti-aging wrinkle serum uses concentrated vegan hyaluronic acid, meaning that it’s natural and chemical free. It’s gentle enough to heal and hydrate your skin while using its power to provide antioxidants so your skin contains moisture much easier.

Anti-aging wrinkle serum, enhanced Vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid not only serves as an anti-aging treatment to repair and prevent wrinkles.  It also helps rid your eyes from dark circles and repairs sun damage you may have suffered in the past.

Be sure to check with your esthetician to find out about products for your continuing beauty needs. You’ll find that these products usually exceed all your anti-aging expectations.

B Vitamins: The Anti-Aging Vitamin

As I look at the vitamins at my local drug store, I can see how deficient we are in our supplements. I can only imagine how our bodies are craving the proper nutrients. One vitamin I’d like to know more about is B vitamins. First, they can help prevent premature aging and also rejuvenate your skin and your health. When we understand how B vitamins operate, we can check out the various types of B vitamins available and which supplements we want to ingest.GarlicCloves

Unfortunately, our bodies probably don’t get enough B vitamins unless we intake a diet rich in this nutrient. Vitamin B is complex and each type contributes to your well-being in different ways. Some help reduce the risk of cancer, another may help stabilize the nervous system and others may enhance your skin or help your metabolism function properly. Vitamin B also encourages the development of red blood cells, combats the harmful results of stress, and helps calm and maintain a healthy nervous system.

Three B Vitamins are folate, vitamins B6 and B12. They are the three of the most effective vitamins that can help your skin look younger and healthier. You can get them in your diet by eating foods such as greens (spinach and mustard), fish, garlic, eggs, milk and others.

Probiotics is another way to assist your anti-aging regimen. They contain vitamin B and B12 and are found in fermented foods and drinks and such foods as yogurt and help you resist diseases and slows the aging process.

Since B vitamins are diluted by water, it’s difficult to get too much – so overdosing isn’t a problem. You should know that Vitamin B12 is found in animal products, so if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you may need supplements getting enough.

If you don’t get enough vitamin B, you may develop a vitamin deficiency and that could result in lowering your body’s immune system which helps fight illness and diseases. Your organs’ functions depend on B vitamins to stay healthy and robust.

Nutritional aspects of B vitamins include Thiamine, also known as Vitamin B1, Niacin, better known as vitamin B3, Pantothenic Acid, or Vitamin B5, Cobalamin, which is commonly called B12, Pyridoxine – or Vitamin B6, Inositol, which is actually B8, Biotin – important for hair and nails, which is B7, Folic Acid – or Vitamin B9 and Riboflavin – also known as Vitamin B2.baby-spinach

Each of these nutrients are unique, but act together to contribute to your body’s overall health. Your skin can also benefit from B vitamins. B12 can rejuvenate your skin and help it produce new cells and slough off the old ones. B12 is also known to boost brain acuity by helping develop brain cells and to improve memory.

Some B vitamins can be found in liquid moisturizer form to help keep your skin soft and supple and prevent dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. A blood test can verify if you’re getting enough vitamin B in your normal diet plan or if you need to enhance it with supplements.

Neisha’s Waxing 101

I provide several waxing services per day. I can perform anything from eyebrow maintenance to full leg waxing and everything else in between. By providing so many waxing services, I have seen pleasant experiences turn bad. However, not all is lost. Clients can receive the best waxing experience with proper timing and at home care.

Waxing hair removal uses a resin-based wax like product to remove the entire hair follicle from the root. Results can last up to six weeks. Generally, it is best to visit your salon every four weeks. This will keep the hair maintained and make the waxing experience tolerable.

wax2

The waxing experience is a warm wax mixture spread over hair in the direction of its growth and a paper or cloth strip is then placed on top of soft wax. Hard wax doesn’t require a strip because it cools solid enough, and becomes a strip in itself. Cold wax is usually already applied to pre-made strips, but a little friction over it helps generate some heat for wax to soften and better adhere to the hair.

Since getting hair pulled from its root is not the most pleasant experience, I tell my clients to breathe out as I pull. This eases the pain and allows the client to focus on breathing instead of the task at hand. I have had many say it does work. I can attest to it working because I do the same.

Once wax has slightly cooled or has grasped enough to the hair, it is then pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth. The entire hair follicle should be removed from the root, if the waxing is done correctly. If all the hair is not removed, the waxer may go over the same area again. If that doesn’t work, she may then tweeze. However, to avoid or lessen these extra steps, it would be best for the client to exfoliate a few times a week to assist in removing dry skin. See your esthetician if other issues prevail.

Hard wax or Strip wax?

A comparison of waxes should be known. Both hard wax and strip wax are often used in waxing process. When it comes to pain and irritation, hard wax is more advantageous over strip wax. Hard wax is indeed less irritating to the skin and most people find it to be less painful. Often hard wax is used on the face, the underarms and strip wax for larger areas of the body.

Sugaring: epilation with liquate sugar at legs.

Why is waxing better than shaving?

When you wax, the entire hair shaft is removed, root and all, rather than cutting it off at the surface of the skin like you do when you shave. This leaves your skin super smooth with no stubble. Waxing also lasts much longer than shaving, and the hair grows back thinner and finer with repeated treatments. Your esthetician would love to go over this in more detail with you. Harsh Skincare Products

All skincare products are not good for the skin. Companies may claim that their product is safe, but in fact, it could harm your skin and cause it to age prematurely. Before using a product you should read the label and make sure that you know exactly what the ingredients are and the effects that they will have on your skin.

products

A few ingredients that may be causing your skin to age are emulsifiers, sulfates, and alcohol. Emulsifiers are added to skincare products, like face wash, in order to bind the ingredients together and keep the individual parts of the product from separating. Moreover, emulsifiers have a tendency to stick to the skin even after you wash the product off, leaving clogged pores to dry out the surface of the skin causing wrinkles.

Many companies use sulfates because they are an inexpensive foaming agent. They manufacture products with satisfying foaming components, but are very drying when used every day. They may also damage the surface of the skin.

Alcohol is another common ingredient in skincare that you should be wary of. It dries out the skin and breaks down the natural defenses. This process leaves the skin vulnerable.

As you can see from above, there are many simple things that you can incorporate into your everyday life to minimize signs of aging. You can reduce age signs by remembering to put on sunscreen, cleanse, and moisturize your skin. However, be sure to avoid smoking, tanning, and products without known contents.  Don’t make the mistake of waiting until it’s too late to preserve your skin. Be sure to visit the rest of my website  to meet all your beauty needs.

Care for Aging Skin

The Outward Signs of Aging Skin

Decreased skin elasticity (sagging skin and wrinkles) is the hallmark sign of aging skin. Skin primarily consists of two proteins, collagen and elastin. Collagen’s three stranded helical shape is what consists of the skin’s strength, firmness, and elastic properties. Elastin, by virtue of its name, contributes most to the skin’s elasticity. It allows skin to quickly return to its normal position after it has been depressed or pulled out of place.

As skin ages, it takes longer to return to its normal position. The ability of collagen and elastin to function properly declines with age. This is due in large part to one’s genetic makeup. However, there are some behaviors that accelerate loss of elasticity, skin sagging, and wrinkles. These include smoking, exposure to U.V. radiation, stress, insufficient sleep, and a high sugar intake. Even if one leads a healthy lifestyle by staying out of the sun, not smoking, avoiding stress, getting eight hours of sleep every night, and never eating refined sugars, one still has to contend with her genetic composition.

antiaging

Aging skin also reveals shrunken capillaries which result from arteries clogged with cholesterol and calcium deposits. Arterial flexibility throughout the body decreases with age, and there is compromised blood flow to the periphery, particularly to the skin. Reduced blood flow means less oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skin. A healthy diet packed with antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables will not be as beneficial if the vitamins and minerals cannot reach the skin cells. Be sure to visit the rest of my website  to meet all your beauty needs.

I use this product during my advanced facial treatments. Clients that don’t have the down time for a chemical peel choose this option instead. The properties in hyaluronic acid act as powerful lubricants and can either be injected or applied topically. Should You Change Your Skin Routine?

I started thinking about my skin care routine years ago since I knew what I was doing was old fashioned. Using the same cleanser on my face as I did on my body was harming and drying my skin. Therefore, I started seeing an esthetician and she put me on the right track.

Little did I know that I’d too become an esthetician and the rest is history. We all can do something about the aging process and our skin. Making specific changes can help us minimize and wrinkles, dry skin, and age spots. Your skin can indeed be beautiful and glowing again.

Going to bed without cleansing and moisturizing your skin is no longer acceptable. As you age, it is so important to remove makeup and debris from your skin. This will allow your skin to breathe and unclog your pores.

Aging brings with it thinner skin since it loses fat cells. Your veins are easily seen and it’s easier to bruise as well. Protecting your skin against bumps take longer to get well. Clear and healthy skin should be your goal.

Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your body and skin. Waxing, facials, and exercise are better experiences with hydrated skin.

Water helps your skin in looking younger, and tanning does the opposite. The sun is drying, causes wrinkles, and dehydrates. Have you ever seen someone who tans often? Do they look older to you? If you don’t see it now, you will see it in years to come.

If you smoke, stop. Too much perfume, soap, and hot showers all add to the aging process. Exercise and yoga will help in relieving stress and to better care for your skin.

Although water cleanses, you’ll need a moisturizer to smooth and keep your skin soft. Daily use is essential in addition to bathing in warm water; especially if you live in a warm weather state or use air conditioning.

Too much sun causes age spots and skin tags (small, flesh-colored growths). Apply proper SPF 15 or above and protective clothing to have as much coverage as possible.

Also, many skin care products simply do not perform well, if at all. It is best to consult your esthetician if you’re concerned about wrinkles and age spots. She can correctly guide you to the proper skin care products.

Avoid products which contain too much perfume or which may contain too many types of fillers. If a product causes your skin to itch, tingle, or turn red, stop using it immediately and see your esthetician.

If you take care of your skin in your youth, you’ll have fewer troubles. Alter your skin routine to avoid issues as you age. Cleaning and moisturizing will be your skin’s best friend. Treat it kindly.

Treating Ethnic Skin Conditions

I perform many waxing procedures throughout the day. From the many responses from the waxing, I get asked often about laser treatments. A laser treatment is a resurfacing of the skin that uses beams of lights to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, scars, sun damage, warts, and more. Even though doctors perform laser treatments, it is important for estheticians to know how and why they are used.

YAG, yttrium aluminum garnet, laser is the appropriate type for ethnic skin. This laser penetrates the skin to absorb energy leaving the top of the skin intact. Ethnic skin will burn if the proper laser is not used, therefore it is imperative to know which laser will be used on your skin.

Furthermore, as an informed consumer, if a product says it’s a facial cleanser or moisturizer, doesn’t mean it’s the right product for you. Many people think that the same skin care regimen works as well on African Americans and Hispanics as it does on non-ethnic skin types.

Certain issues with ethnic skin show signs of dark spots, acne, keloid, discoloration, and facial bumps due to shaving. One way to determine how to treat your skin is to determine your skin type and condition. There are five different skin types (normal, oily, combination, dry, and sensitive) to consider. Within those skin types, the face can be a combination of either of these. In addition, the esthetician will know how to treat your skin type as well as know what is the condition and previous medications. That should be known before a treatment is performed.

Products made for specific skin types and conditions are recommended since darker skin types deal issues such as melasma, or dark patches and dark spots. Be careful to use correct products since, irritation, skin discoloration and bump formation is likely to form. Also, use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 when outside and touch it up throughout the day

See your esthetician regularly for monthly facials and a skin care regimen. She will consult with you on the best ways to treat your skin.
